What is Facilitation?
The act of making something easier.
In group work, the facilitator works with a group of people to help them have a conversation, come to agreement, or plan for the future.
In general, the facilitator acts as a trusted and neutral outside voice, making decisions about the process the group goes through but allowing the group to focus on and control the content of the discussion. The facilitator is a gentle guide, making it easier for the group to have that discussion.

Raj coined the term Therapeutic Coaching when he realized that his coaching practice had taken a different turn in the last five years of the entire fifteen years of his Coaching & Facilitation experience.
He realized that the strict definition of coaching was becoming a bit brutal and ineffective with some of his coachees because suddenly, either they succumbed to a mental health crisis, relationship crisis or a classic Mid-Life crisis, which began to affect their work performance. The traditional coaching model said that he should leave them to the Counsellors and Therapists. However, when he started to refer his clients to counsellors or therapists, many lost confidence. They needed a coach who could also integrate these changes that they were going through. That then, became a key catalyst for him to develop the Therapeutic Coaching model.
With more than 20 years of work experience across industries like Advertising, IT, Manufacturing, Banking etc, he has evolved a facilitative framework to serve his clients.
For the past several years, Raj has worked with clients like Siemens, Amdocs, Tieto and KPIT in the domain of Leadership development, Design Thinking, Crucial Dialogue labs. Apart from that he is Coach & Mentor for emerging leaders, artists & facilitators.
Raj is an avid traveller, writer & reader. In his free time, he likes to engage in experiments in fields of evolutionary consciousness, community building & relevance of ancient wisdom paths in today’s fast paced world.
